Recent ActivityPeer Ministry is made up of a chosen team of seniors who actively witness Christian leadership to their peers. They minister in the areas of liturgy, prayer, liturgical services, retreats, and in all other areas of spiritual need at Mercy. Peer Ministers are young women of faith who are willing to share their gifts and talents and Christian faith with the members of the Mercy community. Peer Ministers are also expected to be of service in their own parishes and to serve in their communities outside of Mercy.
Within the group there are Peer Ministers who apply to be Special Ministers of Holy Communion. They serve in the most central worship experience of our Christian community, the Eucharist, and witness to the presence of the Body and Blood of Jesus in the sacrament.

Sweet Mercy! Soothing, patient, kind: softens the high and rears the fallen mind; knows with just rein and even hand to guide between false fear and arbitrary pride. Not easily provoked, she soon forgives; feels love for all, and by a look relieves. Soft peace she brings wherever she arrives, removes our anguish and reforms our lives; makes the rough paths of peevish nature even, and opens in each heart a little Heaven.

Help me to trust completely in your loving care and tender mercy.
May I realize that whatever happens this day...we will do it together.
Please take away any fears, anxieties or hurts that I might experience.
And may I always be aware of your gift of hope delighting my heart and entire being.
I pray all this, my God and my Lord until that great day we meet face to face...forevermore.
